By accessing or using Hookly ("Service"), a product operated by StartBox, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Hookly is an AI-powered UGC (User-Generated Content) ad video generator that enables marketers and brand owners to create short-form video ads using AI avatars, script extraction, image generation, and social media scheduling — on a pay-per-use credit basis. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. Accounts and Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Credits and Payments

Hookly operates on a credit-based system. Credits are purchased in advance and consumed when you generate videos, images, or use other AI features within the Service. All purchases are processed securely through Dodo Payments, our authorized payment provider. All purchases are subject to our 14-day refund guarantee as described in our Refund Policy. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Create or distribute misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations, including intellectual property rights
• Impersonate any person, brand, or entity without authorization
• Generate, upload, or distribute sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW content — including but not limited to nudity, sexual acts, or sexually suggestive material involving real or AI-generated persons
• Upload avatars, product images, or reference media that contain nudity, sexual content, or graphic violence
• Attempt to bypass content moderation or safety filters through prompt engineering or any other method
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or illegal content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service outside of provided APIs

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these restrictions. Content that violates this policy will be automatically rejected by our content moderation system, and repeated violations may result in permanent account termination without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Hookly and its licensors. You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service, but grant Hookly a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Hookly does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We make no guarantees regarding the quality, accuracy, or suitability of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hookly shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Unused credits are non-refundable upon termination due to a breach of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
